How To Install Skype On Slackware: Software Free Download

Dec 19, 2007  I am trying to install skype on slackware. So I've downloaded the compressed archive file, but when I run./skype I get this error: Code: bash-3.00./. Keeping old skype. 4.3 now in slackbuilds is pretty much broken for voice. With out pulseaudio and pavucontrol. As for pulseaudio install pretty much breaks everything I have set up for DJing. Like skype call in etc. ALSA is in the kernel so there are many eyes on it. I believe they have set a standard.

How did you manage to compile dbus? I tried it and it keeps failing with:

How To Install Skype On Slackware Software free. download full Version

I just installed the upgrade to Skype and after 10 minutes I'm ready to go back to the previous version. I don't have time to mess around with trying to figure out where everything is and I don't like the black background.

You don't need to do anything with the new Microsoft Skype for Windows 10 App (Skype UWP). The only what is required to close this app is sign out.

After you have signed out of Skype for Windows 10, the App will close and you can start the classic Skype for Windows Desktop, which should still be installed on your computer. Look for the desktop shortcut pointing to this Skype program or open it from the installation folder.
